Fuel Your Fitness: Unlock Your Potential with Protein Power

If you’re a fitness enthusiast, you’ve no doubt heard about the power of protein. The hype is definitely real! Here are three reasons why protein is a foundational piece of your fitness puzzle, especially for physique goals:

  1. Protein is the building block of muscle. To achieve a sculpted physique, protein is critical. When embarking on a weight loss journey, consuming adequate protein ensures that we lose body fat rather than muscle mass. Similarly, when intentionally trying to gain weight, adequate protein helps build muscle instead of body fat.

2. Protein helps with satiety and stabilizing blood sugar levels. Want to feel better and derive more satisfaction from meals? Consuming protein regularly throughout the day is a tremendous tool. Feeling our best also serves as an incentive to make sound nutritional decisions.

3. Protein has a high thermic effect. This means that we burn more calories digesting protein compared to other macronutrients. This can be advantageous for those aiming to lose body fat.

How much protein should you be getting? While this varies from person to person, a simple guideline is to start by having two palms' worth of protein at each meal and one palm's worth for any snacks.
